Artist notes:

Back in highschool, I was tortured with details of classical composing mechanics and techniques that for the rest of my life I thought "I hate music, but I love sound".
From time to time I like to improvise on a virtual piano or cello. Apart from that, ever since software synths and other tools were invented, i'm specialised on ambient/noise/ritualistic sounds.

'12 Cello Improvisations' is dedicated to Bob Rutman (RIP), who was a genius artist and wonderful human as well as an idol and encouragement to my musical endeavours.

With this album, we're pushing our musical boundaries once again. Hailing from Vienna, Austria, Fabio Keiner delivers hauntingly beautiful yet evocative soundscapes, entirely derived from cellos. '12 Cello Improvisations' is what I'm looking for at aquietroom – sounds that tell stories or make untold stories heard. Remember, it's all about stories.
